The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults RCIA (or Children RCIC) is the normal means of entry into the Church. It begins with a Period of Inquiry, where one is free to ask questions and discern the fit for them. If a candidate commits themselves to the journey of becoming a Catholic, they begin formal study of Catholic, Christian teaching in the Period of the Catechumenate. Ordinarily this process takes a full year and allows for discernment, encouraging faith growth and a lasting commitment. Formal, sacramental entry ordinarily occurs at the Easter Vigil.
”Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.Isaiah41:10
